Arnold Classic - American Open 2020
Craziness and confusion ruled the beginning of this show. The main expo was cancelled due to health concerns.
The Arnold Classic Show however went on. As a sponser and vendor we were on the ground supporting athletes and attendees. For the first time ever we were allowed to sell our weightlifting singlets. A hit in the weightlifting community and a favorite of most lifters. We also launched our Barbarian tee with was quite a stir at the show and on our social media. We plan on selling the tee once it gets back home and do have some still available.
Our Virus International Team is headed to Montreal on March, 13. We hit the stage for our first time in Montreal for the Atlas Games. Due to COVID-19 concerns the show may be cancelled. We will keep you posted as the situation develops.
WZA Wodapalooza 2020
For the 6th consecutive year, VIRUS showed in in strength. During our takeover of Vendor Village - we brought our latest and greatest styles to the mix. As usual it was a hit.
Our stand out women athletes were Kristine Best and Emily Rolfe - both qualifying for the 2020 Games. Congrats! Team TTT put it out there in Miami sun and came up strong.
We debuted our WZA special products to athletes and attendees. The WZA socks went quick but we plan on launching our Miami Tee in the near future.
STRENGTH IN DEPTH | LONDON, ENGLAND
Athlete | David Shorunke
The first stop of the VIRUS World Tour was the CrossFit® SiD Strength in Depth Sanctionals ™ Jan 24-26, 2020 London UK. The tour kicked off as the fittest on earth made their way to this sold out event to battle for a qualifying spot at the 2020 Games in Madison.
This epic contest saw a wide array of physical challenges. This live streamed event followed athletes on the Thames River as they rowed, following the competitors in a foot race around London and inside the arena for the jam packed strength competitions. One of the hottest and most contentious battles was between American champion Mat Fraser and UK’s David Shorunke challenger for the elite’s division fittest man. Fraser and Shorunk battled all the the way through the final event in front of a fired up and wildly cheering crowd.
David took second in the division but punched his ticket to the Games as Mat already had his. See you in Madison!
Thank you to an amazing event! To the athletes, organizers and sponsors. What a way to kick off the tour.
